Black beefsteak tomatoes on thick potato leaf plants take a while to get ripe but well worth the wait. The only resemblance I could see to Brandywine is in the name. But this is a very good tasting tomato. This was the first year I have grown this variety and I am sorry I waited so long. Not big producers but they produce enough to deserve a spot in your garden.
